Modrac offer a full range of internally protected units in two protection categories.
IP54 units are available from 9U through to 47U in all our standard sizes.
The IP54 wall box or cabinets comes standard with two extraction fans and one air filter, this ensures that dust does not enter the units in a sufficient quantity to damage equipment and also prevents water entry splashed from any direction.
The IP65 wall box and cabinet range comes standard from 6U through to 47U in all our standard sizes. There are no fans or filters used in an IP65 cabinet as the rating specification is for cabinets to be water jet proof from any angle and to be totally dust ingress proof. However, cooling options such as self contained air conditioning units can be fitted to larger IP65 units to cool equipment.
All IP 54 and 65 rated boxes are made from 2mm mild steel and come standard with front and rear uprights. Outdoor versions can also be made using 3CR12, 304SS or 316SS in extreme conditions.
